Our 2012 New Horizons 5th Wheel is For Sale - High Quality Construction for Serious Off-Grid Living/Boondocking

SOLD: 31-foot New Horizons Summit 5th Wheel. Built November 2011 to March 2012. Occupied and used full-time since April 2012 by one owner. This trailer, with less than 50,000 miles, has never been exposed to road salt and has traveled almost exclusively in dry western state climates.

High-quality construction uniquely designed for serious off-grid living and boondocking.  With the large solar system, we have not needed to plug into the grid in 11 years and the generator has been run primarily for monthly maintenance only.  Extra-large capacity water holding tanks also enable prolonged off-grid living and boondocking.

This is a rare dual-axle New Horizons 5th wheel that is easily towable with an F-350 (one ton) Super Duty truck. The model is a Summit and it has been optioned with most of the upgrades found in a New Horizons Majestic model.  However, it has a narrower width, lower height, and much better ground clearance and departure angle than a Majestic so it performs better on off-pavement travel and can get to, and into, tighter spaces.

The frame is custom-built in-factory by New Horizons with 12”
I-beams, a 4” box beam, and 2” tubing cross framing – all welded together to form a ladder structure. This is an incredibly stiff and capable frame. The CCC could easily be increased from 2,414 lbs to 4,000 lbs+ with a readily available suspension upgrade.

Having served as our home for 11 years, this well-maintained unit is move-in ready. It has an open floor plan with a lighter tone color scheme prepared for your personal touch.

Sale Price: $49,000
